This piece illustrates various Species at Risk in Alberta currently listed by the Alberta Wildlife Act! Either with a status of sensitive, at risk, threatened, or endangered, all of these species populations are under threat for various reasons, with many relating to the Anthropocene / human impacts on ecological and environmental well being of the landscape.
This mural features western spiderwort flowers dispersed amongst the grass, a white bark pine in the midst of it all, with a northern leopard frog climbing it’s trunk, and a yellow bellied-racer slithering about the branches.
10’ x 3’ outdoor mural - latex on concrete. Completed for BUMP Road Works Program 2025.
