Kluane's Symphony

Acrylic on birch, 28” round. 2022. SOLD

Kluane’s Symphony celebrates the expansive landscape of Kluane Lake, Łù’àn Män, meaning ‘big fish lake’ in Southern Tutchone, that holds inexpressible meaning to the Kluane, Champagne and Aishihik, and White River First Nations, researchers, and all visitors. Beginning with intricate rootage of subarctic flora, and all that graze through it, to the shores of the deep glacier-fed turquoise waters, where aquatic life rest from their long journey. At spring surge, the mountains overlook the braided rivers from the sweeping glaciers. As nightfall arrives, the aurora begins dancing through dark skies while all lay to rest before continuing their annual migration.
